Must Have – het Rockbook

Toen oud-collega Anne mij vroeg voor deze design opdracht hoefde ik niet lang na te denken. Wie wil nou niet zijn eigen ontwerp in de schappen zien liggen. En dus ging ik aan de slag en ontwierp ik vier limited edition Rockbooks. Notebooks gemaakt van steenpapier.


Wat zeg je? Papier gemaakt van steen? Hell Yeah! Tijdens een reis naar China ontdekte Anne dat het product daar al volop werd gebruikt. Steenpapier. Een keiharde, watervaste en milieuvriendelijke vervanger voor papier. Ze besloot het roer om te gooien en startte vol enthousiasme On the Rocks op.

Het resultaat is een collectie super mooie notebooks, in fijne kleuren. Speciaal voor de feestdagen mocht ik vier limited edition Rockbooks ontwerpen. Ik baseerde mijn ontwerpen op het seizoen en het it-dier van 2017, de zwaan. Het is een diverse collectie met zwart, white, lila en roze geworden. Oh en natuurlijk met een vleugje glans met zilver en goud. De collectie is verkrijgbaar in de webshop van On the Rocks en wordt in diverse winkels verkocht.

Met de verkoop van elk rockbook wordt een halt toegeroepen tot ontbossing en dragen zij zelfs een steentje bij aan herbebossing. 5% van de winst wordt geïnvesteerd in herbebossing in Zuid-Afrika.

Duurzaam dus, maar bovenal functioneel en stijlvol! Ik ben benieuwd wat je ervan vindt.
